Yield: 4 Person
Prep time: 15 min
Total time: 1.5 hours
- Milk – 1.5 Litre
- Sugar – 1/2 Cup
- Cardamom Powder – ¼ tsp
- Pista – for garnish
- Maida/ All purpose flour – ¾ cup
- Rava / Sooji -1/4 Cup
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
How I do it :
Heat Milk, Sugar until milk reduces to ½ of its quantity. Add cardamom powder and allow to cool
Meanwhile mix All purpose flour, Rava, salt and Ghee. Knead into dough not hard enough like we do for Poori but little softer.
Let it rest for 20 minutes.
Make Pooris with the dough and I also pierced them with fork all over , so that they don’t swell like Poori.
Heat oil . Now cook these Poori’s and when done on both sides Place them in the reduced milk.
Chill them in Fridge and serve garnished with Chopped Pista.
Special Instructions :
Avoid cooking on heat after adding cardamom, it sometimes turns the milk bitter
You can replace All Purpose flour with Wheat Flour for variations.
